Description

This role involves planning, organizing, and identifying technical risks while providing pre-sales support to the Japan sales and project engineering teams. Responsibilities include architecting solutions, integrating site systems, ensuring on-premises data connectivity, analyzing DMZ configurations, managing network latency, and establishing cloud gateways. Practical experience in end-to-end OT and IT integration is crucial.

• Data Platform and Connectivity

Responsibilities:

• Translate customer business use cases into functional requirements and map them to proposed technical requirements, including architecture, solution design, and technical approach.
• Develop IIoT solution presentations and provide integration recommendations, such as network connectivity assessments.
• Design solutions for OT/IT data integration, ensuring seamless bi-directional connectivity between Edge Gateways, on-premises servers, and the cloud. This includes assessing latency, DMZ/port connectivity, security protocols, and API integration.
• Conduct evaluations, site surveys, and testing with users for data integration and demonstrations. This involves site studies, front-end engineering design, implementation, and maintenance/services, with remote support from the Product Team.
• Provide technical and solution pre-sales support, contribute to design innovation, and coordinate with customers to develop and implement realization plans.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations on recommended solutions to customers and the company’s Business Development Manager.

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience in complex integrations from on-premises to the cloud, including network assessments, security configurations, and port connectivity in collaboration with customer IT teams.
• Strong expertise in OT/IT data integration, covering various sensor integrations, OT systems, and IT/business system integrations.
• Practical experience with complex data integration from diverse OEM equipment, including OT protocols such as serial, ASCII, RS485/RS232, Modbus, Profibus, Telnet, Ethernet, and TCP/IP.
• Proficiency in LoRaWAN, MQTT, and REST communication protocols.
• Deep understanding of networking, including L3/L4 OT network structures, cloud connectivity, and fundamental security measures such as DMZ and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with OSI PI System and PI Historian.
• Familiarity with various IoT platforms.
• Strong expertise in IT connectivity and data orchestration.
• Experience working with edge devices, including data buffering mechanisms.
• Practical knowledge of security measures for on-premises to cloud integration, including encryption, API secret keys, and authentication protocols.
• Effectively bilingual (English and Japanese).
