Business Development & Portfolio Consultant

The BD & Portfolio Consultant provides strategic guidance, technical expertise, and portfolio management for smart building and infrastructure solutions. This role entails working closely with clients to evaluate their needs in building automation, IoT, energy efficiency, and sustainability, aligning them with advanced smart building technologies. The consultant collaborates with cross-functional teams—including sales, engineering, and sustainability specialists—to drive innovation, digital transformation, and value creation in the built environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Portfolio & Solution Consulting:
    • Curate and oversee a portfolio of smart building and infrastructure solutions, encompassing building automation, IoT, energy management, data centres, and digital twin technologies.
    • Offer expert advice to clients on identifying and deploying optimal smart building technologies that align with their operational and sustainability objectives.
    • Ensure building technology solutions comply with industry standards such as LEED, WELL, or other relevant green building certifications.
  1. Client Engagement & Strategy Development:
    • Lead client assessments, workshops, and discovery sessions to gain insights into business needs and digital transformation goals.
    • Develop strategic roadmaps for smart building adoption, ensuring alignment with corporate ESG initiatives and sustainability objectives.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex technology landscapes and investment choices.
  2. Sales & Business Development Support:
    • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to deliver technical consulting and pre-sales support for smart building initiatives.
    • Contribute to the creation of proposals, business cases, and value propositions tailored to client needs.
    • Identify and explore opportunities to expand smart building services and portfolio offerings.
  3. Market & Industry Expertise:
    • Keep abreast of emerging trends, regulatory developments, and advancements in smart building technologies.
    • Evaluate portfolio performance and continuously refine solutions by leveraging industry best practices.
  4. Collaboration & Innovation:
    • Partner with technology providers, software developers, and engineering teams to integrate and enhance smart building solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Preferred Certifications: LEED AP, WELL AP, PMP, or other relevant smart building technology certifications.
  • Over 5 years of experience in smart buildings, smart cities, smart healthcare, IoT solutions, energy management, data centers, or related consulting roles.
  • Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC/chiller, occupancy/tenant/facility management solution, IoT platforms, AI-driven analytics, and sustainability frameworks.
  • Proficient in analyzing building performance data and developing digital transformation strategies.
  • Skilled in conveying complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, including C-level executives.
  • Proven experience in leading smart building projects from concept to implementation.

IIoT Solution Consultant

To plan, organize, identify technical risks, and provide pre-sales support to the regional sales and engineering teams. The responsibilities will include developing solutions for site integration, connectivity of on-premises data, and establishing gateways to the cloud. We are seeking a candidate with hands-on experience in both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) data integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop IIoT solution materials and propose integration recommendations.
  • Design solutions for OT/IT data integration, including bi-directional integration between Edge Gateways and on-premises servers or the Cloud.
  • Conduct evaluations and site surveys, working closely with users to test data integration and provide demonstrations. This includes site studies, front-end engineering design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance/services with remote support from the Product Team.
  • Provide technical and solution pre-sales support, contribute to design innovation, and develop realization plans, including coordination with customers.
  • Prepare technical presentations for recommended solutions to present to customers and the Company Internal Business Development Managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in releted discipline with 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Hands-on experience with complex data integration from various OEM Equipment, including familiarity with OT protocols such as serial, ASCII, RS485/RS232, Modbus, Profibus, Telnet, Ethernet, TCP/IP, etc.
  • Proficiency in LoRaWAN, MQTT, and REST.
  • Preferred experience with C#.
  • Networking expertise, including L3/L4 OT network structures and connectivity with the Cloud, incorporating security measures like DMZ and firewall.
  • Proficiency in OSI PI System and PI Historian.
  • Familiarity with various IoT gateways such as Moxa, Redlion, or other third-party gateways.
  • Hands-on experience with edge connectivity, extracting required data from OT devices to on-premises servers or the Cloud. Proficiency with Kepware or similar edge devices.
  • Hands-on experience with edge devices, including data buffering mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of Azure IoT Hub and OT/IT security connectivity.

  • Support proposals, pre-sales activities, design innovation, and realization plans, coordinating with customers.
  • Prepare technical presentations for recommended solutions to customers and the Company’s internal Business Development Managers.
  • Translate functional and technical requirements to DX Engineering teams for remote execution and local regional engineering teams for local execution.

 Requirements:

  • Proficiency in OT protocols such as serial, ASCII, RS485/RS232, Modbus, Profibus, Telnet, Ethernet, TCP/IP, etc.

  • Expertise in NodeRed for data integration/translation from gateway to the cloud.
  • Networking skills, including public and static SIM cards, porting, and whitelisted techniques for integration between on-prem gateway and cloud.
  • Experience with OSI PI System, PI Historian, and PI Integrator.
  • Familiarity with various IoT gateways such as Moxa, Redlion, or other 3rd-party gateways.
