Description
To undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The responsibilities will also include financial risk management and also ensure the reporting is timely and complies to the requirements of entire business group.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all finance and accounting operations, including review of individual companies under the Group and group consolidation workpapers and financial statements
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the Group budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Preparation and submission of all statutory and regulatory reporting on a timely basis, including quarterly/half yearly financial results reporting, tax/GST reporting, ACRA filings
- Managing and comply with all reporting requirements including IRAS, ACRA, SGX and other regulatory requirements relevant to the group
- Preparation of additional quarterly reports in accordance with the HQ requirements and reporting timelines and also support other adhoc finance related work
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and improve internal controls in accordance with the business requirements as advised by the management
- Liaison with auditors, tax and other professional advisors during statutory audits, internal audits, tax advisors and other professional valuers
- Manage cashflow situations of the Group, including building relationships with bankers and lenders and participate in any fund-raising activities
- Check payroll accuracy and prepare labor costs allocations to projects
- Additional controller duties as necessary
Requirements:
- Must be a qualified CPA
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in the accounting field
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
- Good accounting skills and thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations with proven experience in managing a global team virtually
- Experience in digital or technology companies is preferred
- Able to work under pressure and in dynamic environments and maintain good service mindset
- High work ethics and able to adapt to the culture of the team which is based on trust and collaboration
- Relevant experience with SGX and/or Tokyo Stock Exchange listing rules requirements and compliances or audit experience with SGX listed companies will be added advantage
